FIA Formula 2 is the modern proving ground directly below Formula 1, where young drivers are tested on racecraft, tyre life, starts, pressure and consistency.

F2 matters because it compresses the future into one paddock. Drivers arrive with national titles, F3 form or academy backing, but the championship asks a different question: can they deliver under Grand Prix-weekend pressure? Sprint races, feature races, strategy windows and identical cars make mistakes visible.
